Memories & Candles
Mr. Phillips will be greatly missed. As a former member of the DHS Band - Class '82. He made band fun & yet we learned the qualities needed to be a leader, responsibility for self as well as how to contribute to a bigger picture. Although, I only had him in band his last 2 yrs @ DHS, they were FULL of a great legacy of how to enjoy life. My sympathies to the family in this time of loss. Cherish the memories as we all will.
In Sympathy -

Janet,
I just heard about Bill and was shocked. We shared so many laughs and memories our first year in college as roommates, and I include Bill in that since he was always with us. Please contact me or send me your email or address, I would love to come see you. You will be in my prayers during this time of change. Suzy

I am so saddened by the news of Mr. Phillips' passing. When my family moved from Illinois to Duncanville, TX in January of 1975, it was during Mr. Phillips' first year as band director at Duncanville High School. I was only in fifth grade, but my three older brothers were in high school. Mr. Phillips took over a marching band that was very much in need of leadership as it had not done very well up to that point in

Dear Janet,
We feel fortunate that we got to be with you and Bill at Loraine's birthday party a few months ago. It was a fun time and Bill, as always, was a joy to be with and the life of the party. He will be missed by so many. Our love to you and your family, Linda and Bruce

Janet, I was just thinking of you and Bill this last week
of a August. I would always tell my children how sweet
you all were with me. I saw Loraine Harper last year and I asked for you all. For some reason I remembered Bill this Monday, telling my friends that
Loraine had said, that Bill always brought joy and laughter to everyone when you all got together.
My deepest sympathy for you and your family.
