STEVEN B. JONES
June 7, 1956 - March 12, 2015
Steven B. Jones, age 58, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015 after waging a short but brave and hard fought battle with cancer. Steven knew Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and is home with Jehovah God our Heavenly Father pain and worry free, breathing in the sweetest purest air in the presence of the Father, Son and his angels. He was born on June 7, 1956 in San Antonio to parents, Robert Edward and Gloria Jean Jones. He graduated from McArthur High School and went on to attend the University of Texas-Austin. He was employed by Anthony's Planet Pickup of San Antonio where he enjoyed working for the past eight years with co-workers and customers he was so happy to call his family and best of friends. Steven will be remembered as one who deeply loved his family and friends and had a life long passion for fast cars and motorcycles. He was preceded in death by his parents. Steven is survived by his wife, Cathy L. Garcia; his sons, Chris Jones, Robert Jones and Tyler Jones; his stepdaughter and daughter, Elizabeth Garcia and Rebecca Garcia; his sister, Debbie McBride; as well as numerous other family and friends.
The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2015, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.

Condolence & Memory Journal
We just heard about Steve's passing and wanted his family to know how sorry we are for your loss. Steve shot with our pistol club back in the 80's and he was fun to be around and a very nice guy. Although we had not seen him in awhile, we will miss him and always remember the good guy he was to everyone. Our thoughts and sincere sympathy to you all. Greg and Melinda

Steve, I can't believe it's only been 3 months since all this began. These have been the shortest time ever. I remember when I first met you 13 years ago when I began working at Planet Pickup, you were patience with me for all the dumb questions I had regarding tires, wheels, lift kits and all that other stuff I had no idea about. Your smile and laughter (and even weird joke) always made it a fun place to be. As the company grew and you got busier you were never to busy to take the time to see how I
was doing. During these last months we spoke of so many things, your love for Cathy, how proud you were of her and her daughters. I could see how this was so true. Just know I will try and help Cathy any way I can,like I promised you. This is not goodbye it's "see you on the flip side".

Steve!!! You left us too soon, but I know you are in a far better place than Earth. You're probably racing all the angels up there and laughing and smiling down on us. I'll miss you. Thank you for loving and caring for my mom like you did, especially when I was hundreds of miles away for college. This isn't goodbye but until I see you again!

Stevie my love. Although you have left this world way too soon I knows in my heart you are in a happier place with no distress or pain taking deep breaths of sweet air. I know you are watching over me and I hope I have made you proud and that I continue too do so. We never wanted to say goodbye so I am saying it now.
