Tribute & Message From The Family

Eileen Evelyn Senning Focht was born April 7, 1922 to Alma E. Stange and George M. Senning in South Euclid, Ohio.

An only child, Eileen and her parents endured the Great Depression. She graduated from Charles Brush High School of South Euclid in 1940, the editor of the school newspaper.

In January 1945, Eileen married Richard Paul Focht of Hardin County Ohio. Together they raised three children. In 1967 they moved the family to San Antonio.

From school secretary to farm wife, mother, bank teller, substitute teacher and many roles in between, Eileen also spent years volunteering for the Jefferson Area Coop as well as with her Joy Circle and Church activities at Jefferson UMC.

Eileen is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Richard Paul Focht. Eileen is survived by her children and their spouses, Rick (Collene) of Denver, Colorado, Dennis (Donna) of San Antonio, Texas, Jane (Chip) of San Antonio, Texas, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Sincere thanks to Claudia and David Costescu and the wonderful staff at Just Like Home Care for their loving care.

Condolence & Memory Journal

Candle

It was a joy knowing Eileen. When you were in her presence, she gave you her undivided attention. It was a joy listening to her stories, as she shared the glories of her work at church. Her witness as a child of God was enlightening and you left her with a smile as you witnessed the rays of sunshine in her face. I will miss our conversations. She always remembered to ask about family members and shared in the joys and sent prayers for the trying times. She will be dearly missed and carried forever in my heart. Condolences to her family as she enters into God's presence.

I'm so happy you chose this photo! It was taken at the Christmas luncheon Muriel, Debbie, and I host. We were sharing stories of each other and having a good time. We were all laughing and she turned and smiled at me. This is the image of Eileen I'll carry in my heart.

Jane, I am so sad to hear of your Mom passing. My only contact with her was the day you were supposed to start working in the Library/LRC TV area. You were ill and she called asking that you would not be fired for missing your starting day. That was very kind of her and I have never forgotten her love for you. Peace and Grace of the Lord be with you, Chip, and family during this time. Bruce
