Dear JoAnn, although we met only 9 years ago, we fell into immediate friendship as we worked on the huge project of a complete renovation of my mother's house for sale. Meeting though your real estate attorney husband, Dan Brown, we had many laughs, trips to stores, headaches, you name it, until the home was a beautiful gem. I never would have made it without your expertise, good humor and your keeping an eye on me as I also was going through major medical crises. As we discovered after the house sold, our conversations on the phone, over lunches, and at the kitchen table while petting your beloved Chihuahuas continued on. And several of the San Antonio Fiesta events even survived us whooping it up, having a good time. In hind site, the last several weeks prior to your illness, we spoke more frequently of being "friends forever" .... and we will be. You will be missed but forever in my memories.
