Tribute & Message From The Family

Melvin M. Pfeiffer passed away peacefully at his home in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 93.

He enlisted in the Navy in 1943 and served on the USS Noble until his honorable discharge in 1946.
In 1950 he married the love of his life, Florence Neighbors. They found great joy as they created a warm, welcoming home and a beautiful life together.
After his service he worked at Kelly AFB where he was respected for his generosity and well liked by his coworkers. After retirement he expanded on his lifetime interest in hunting and the outdoors as a game lease manager, a time he described as some of the most enjoyable years of his life.

Condolence & Memory Journal

I'm very sorry I couldn't make it to the service. I learned a lot working with Melvin. Everything he did he gave 110%, and always with a smile on his face. I've never met another man with such a good sense of humor. The Lord truly blessed me by letting me get to know him. If there were more people like Melvin Pfeiffer, this world would be a much better place.

I was fortunate enough to get to meet and know Mr. Melvin when he worked at Buck Creek Ranch in Pearsall, Texas with my dad, Maurice Felps. I have many fond memories of those days. He had such a precise system and always made sure everything was perfect for every hunt. He was passionate about every detail. His sharp wit made the days even more interesting. I am blessed to have known both Melvin and Florence! Prayers of comfort to his family and friends during this difficult time. May you feel God's loving arms wrapped around you now and always.
