Tribute & Message From The Family

Elsie Aydelotte Brice, 88, of San Antonio, TX passed away peacefully Sunday, January 6, 2019. She was born in Corrigan, TX in 1930. She was a graduate of Corrigan High School, Sam Houston State University (Bachelor) and the University of New Orleans (Masters). She retired with over 30 years of teaching. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will long be remembered for her love for her family and friends. Elsie had many hobbies, but especially enjoyed reading and spending time with her friends and loved ones. She married her husband, Phil, in 1951, and was married over 62 years until Phil's passing in 2014. She is survived by her loving family, Franklin (Cordie), Michael (Tammy), and David (Joanna), her granddaughters, Kelsey and Mary Wells; and numerous nieces and nephews. Elsie is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Willie Aydelotte, and husband, Phil.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 8th at 11:00 am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio.

Condolence & Memory Journal

I have many fond memories of Miss Elsie (and Mr. Phil) from when we lived across the street from the Brices on Blair Street in New Orleans. She was a very kind and gentle woman. I know her sons Franklin, Michael, and David, and their families will miss her loving spirit. Ironically, Elsie and Phil are not far from my mom and dad at Fort Sam. All those transplanted Texan oil workers in New Orleans are now home.
