Tribute & Message From The Family

Rayford Gus "Rob" Robinson, age 49, passed away January 25, 2019. He was born on April 18, 1969 to Hugh and Betty Robinson in San Antonio, Texas. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Pauline Robinson & Gus and Dorothy Uhlig; and mother-in-law, Carolyn Dansby. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 24 years, Judy Dansby Robinson; his children, Jackie (Abraham) Coronado, Jenna, Luke, and Lily; parents, Hugh and Betty Robinson; brother, Dan (Wendy) Robinson; his nieces and nephews, Reese, Faith, and Bo; father-in-law, Frank (Maria) Dansby. He graduated from East Central High School. He served in the U.S. Army for three years at BAMC and after his honorable discharge, he received his RN degree. Following his nursing career, Rob worked for D & W Distributors in Garden Ridge, Texas from 2003 to 2015. Growing up he played baseball, was an avid swimmer and hunter, and enjoyed water skiing, snow skiing, and fishing. In his 30's he was diagnosed with myotonic muscular dystrophy, which caused limitations to his mobility. Through this diagnosis, he maintained his kind nature, and was always appreciative of Judy's care. He loved his Lord, and was a member of Garden Ridge church of Christ. He had a great love for his children; and it brought him joy to be part of their journey in life, and wanted nothing more than to see their happiness and love for the Lord grow in the years to come. He was greatly loved, and will be fondly remembered for his huge heart, always showing compassion and care to family, friends, and anyone blessed to meet him.
Special thanks are extended to all of the family, friends, church family, and medical staff, in California and San Antonio for their love and support.

May the God of all comfort strengthen the family during this time of deep sorrow. Those who pass on, God keeps in his memory because they are precious in his eyes. My sincerest condolences. (Psalms 116:15)
