Tribute & Message From The Family

Romie Summer Shattuck, 20, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in her sleep on Monday, January 28, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas. Romie was born on December 10th, 1998 in San Antonio. At an early age she was diagnosed with Autism, she was developmentally delayed and non-verbal. Through continuous care and efforts of her doctors, caregivers, teachers, friends and family, Romie was able to live a happy life filled with an abundance of love from all that cared for her. Romie had the special ability to touch the lives of all who knew her simply with her energetic smile and her animated laughter. That was her way of communicating to the ones she loved that "all is well". Music was her staple, it calmed her and provided her with joy and tranquility throughout her life. Her memory will be cherished and will continue to live within our hearts; she will be profoundly missed. "Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end; it simply means we'll miss you until we meet again…" Romie was preceded in death by her beloved dog, Harley. She is survived by her parents, J.T. and Jennifer Treviño; brother, Justin Treviño; grandparents, Manuel and Tencha Treviño, and Betty Enos and William Scott; aunts, Kris DeArmon (Mike), and Melissa Trevino-Malouff; uncle, Dan Scott (Chris); cousins, Evan Scott, Savannah DeArmon and Elise and Loren Malouff. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 7, 2019, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
