Condolence & Memory Journal

Donohue Family,
We just learned of your mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and mother-in-law's passing. Sending our love and condolences from the Philip Cyphers Family of which you are all a part. We enjoyed our visits with her and John in San Antonio as well as the visits to our home in PA. Also, the reunion get-togathers when we were all younger. We will share Shirley's passing at the reunion this August in PA. May God continue to give you comfort now and in the days ahead.

Dear Jimmy, Billy and All in the Donohue Family / Extended Family:
Eileen and I offer our sincere, heartfelt condolences in the death of your beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and mother-in-law.
May she rest in peace, and may God console and comfort all of you, and give y'all the strength and courage to carry on.
I had known Mrs. Donohue only after having met her at her husband's funeral. I know that both were accomplished musicians and singers. Now may they be a part of the Heavenly Choir.
In reading the obituary, I was flabbergasted to see the scope of her musical talents, put to good use at so many churches and school districts over the years, and in various musical groups. With both your mother and dad having long careers in music, I now know where you, Jimmy and Billy (and maybe more in the family), got your musical abilities and love for musicl
For sure, your parents did a fine job in rearing six children...having been friends with you, Jimmy and Billy, all these years and seeing the goodness exemplified by both of you.
In closing, I share an old Irish Blessing:

"May the road rise to meet you;
May the wind be always at your back;
May the Sun shine warm upon your face;
May the rains fall softly upon your fields, and
Until you meet again with your Family Matriarch (and Patriarch),
May God hold y'all in the palm of His hand."

Love, joy, peace and prayers,

Doc Adams (and Eileen)
San Antonio

Shirley was a beautiful gift from God to my life and the many young people she taught. May God comfort her family with His infinite love.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I will miss Aunt Shirley greatly, she was a gentle, beautiful and loving soul. I have wonderful memories of our family get-togethers and will cherish each one. Rest peacefully until we meet again.

My heartfelt condolences to the Donohue family. Mrs. Donohue was a sweet and gracious lady. I went to Churchill with the three oldest boys, and my family were long-time members at Beacon Hill. On very short notice, Mrs. Donohue graciously agreed to play Claire de Lune at my Mother's memorial service in 2010.
