So sorry to hear the news of David's passing! He was my doctor, but I had not seen him since May, 1994 but always had great respect for him. Beside being a friend and former classmate, he was an outstanding physician. I had great confidence in his medical skills and was glad that he was my Internist/Cardiologist. Warmest wishes to his sons and family....they can be very proud of David as a fine person! RIP David. Albert "Tripp" Alyn

Dear Adam and David Isaac, Our thoughts are with you as we all mourn the loss of your wonderful father. He was a brilliant doctor and a wonderful friend to so many. We remember the fun times we had on our trip to Spain with David and Rhea the summer before Adam was born. When the flight attendant offered to move David and Rhea to first class, he responded not unless Paul and Susie can come too. So we all enjoyed the perks of the upgrade. That moment showed David's character. He was unselfish, always thinking of others. He was the friend we could all count on, and the doctor who was there when we needed him.

Dr. Grant and his father were our family's physicians for as long as I can remember. He was truly a kind and generous man. He made house calls to see my Mother long after physicians stopped doing that. I'm saddened to hear about his passing. My heartfelt condolences to his family, staff and friends. My Mother was Elaine Davis, and she wouldn't have ever chosen another family physician.

David was my first boyfriend when we were in elementary school. We used to ride our bikes through the estate across the street from his house. David was also my first date ever. He had moved up a grade and had been invited to the 6th grade boys graduation dance. I was only in the 5th grade, so I felt really special to be invited and to go as David's date. I will always remember what a kind person he was. May you rest in peace, David.

I am so sorry to hear about David. He was such an affable, funny guy, and he had the best smile. I always enjoyed seeing him and his bumper-sticker plastered car. To Adam and David, Jr.: I know that no matter how old we are, we never outgrow the need for our parents, and so I wish the two of you peace.

I regret the loss of a warm, sincere, super-smart and irreplaceable part of my youth, both in high school and college. I also regret that I let him get away for the last half century -- I hope my disappearing was only innocuous for his life. He wasa very good man!
