On July 7, 2019, Matthew McCarter, doting husband and father of four, passed away at the age of 39.

Matthew was born November 14, 1979 in Salinas, California, but grew up in Rockford, Illinois.

At the age of 19 he joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served a mission to St. Petersburg, Russia for two years. In 2003 he married Miriam Elaine, and he was the heart of her heart. They brought three beautiful sons and a fabulous daughter into this world. There was no shortage of love in their home.
