Tribute & Message From The Family

Diana P. Martinez, age 90, of San Antonio, TX passed away on Friday, Oct. 11, 2019.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, five sisters, several nieces, nephews, and three fur-babies.

She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, two fur-babies, family, friends and neighbors of whom she loved very much.

She had a heart of gold and a smile that would light up a room. She had a natural passion to be there for anyone and everyone she met. She was a child of God and she would encourage and invite others to seek him out.

She graduated from Tech High School and built a lifelong carrier with the Airlines. She worked at Pan American, was offered a job to work for Mexicana Airlines which lead her to the San Antonio International Airport and never looked back. She met so many famous people while working there and always shared her stories with family and friends. She volunteered to baby-sit pets that could not be taken on flights. We had a house full of varieties of pets, from birds to monkeys.

Then there were her jokes, she had a unique way of saying jokes, and once she got started, she could not stop. There was always laughter filling a room if she was there.

She loved gardening and cooking in her later years and she insisted that food was tasteless unless she had her "Chile de Amor" (Serrano Pepper) on her plate.

She was a special angel to that was a gift to us while she was on this earth.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019 at Porter Loring North. Pastor Albert Belton will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice. If you knew her, you know that she loved to help anyone and everyone when she could.
