Condolence & Memory Journal

Susan, Pete and I will miss Tom. We sure enjoyed the times we met up at Hardin-Simmons reunions and last year when we met for lunch in San Antonio. Susan, I am glad you kept us informed of your travels with Tom through our correspondence and phone conversations. As I told you; we were always too shy to ask about Tom's accomplishments and awards; but we are very proud of him and blessed to know him. May you and your family feel God's perfect comfort, peace, and presence.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Susan, Thomas, Julia, and James. We know Tom is in heaven and God must have had something special in mind for him when he brought him home so soon. Perhaps planting trees and maintaining the lawns and gardens of heaven for when the rest of us see him again. May your memories of him provide some comfort during this difficult time.

I will miss hearing Tom's stories and his opinions on politics. I hope you all can find some comfort in the coming days and you have the strength to carry on and share your memories with those of you he loved and would have loved in the future.

Tom, you were a very close friend that I loved like a brother. Our connection was stronger than blood. There is a painful, empty space in my heart and soul since you passed away that will never be filled until we meet again. I will cherish your memory with every breath that I have and ensure that you are never forgotten. Farewell my friend, may God continue to bless your soul.
