My heartfelt sympathies to the entire Guido family that I was privileged to get to know when I got married to Maryanne's father. It was always delightful to be in Cosmo's and Tony's company at many family gatherings especially when we moved to San Antonio. So happy to have known this great couple and even Cosmo's mother 'Grandma Guido'.
May they all rest in peace!

I will always remember your father as a man who is loved by everyone and especially my family. My son and I were talking about the first time he went to the driving range as a kid at Oak Hills and your dad came over and introduced himself and became his first friend at the club. Everyone who spoke of them always talked about what a great man he was and how he was a gentleman in business . I was surprised reading his obituary How many unspoken things he did to help everyone else and the many awards and position he had an I am proud to have known him. What a great legacy!

Mr. Guido, or Mr. Cosmo as I often called him was one of the last, great men I got to know. I had the honor of cutting his hair. When he came in to see me, he would always ask about my Mother. He had a wonderful dry sense of humor which I so enjoyed laughing at. I will remember him as a kind and gentle man always smiling when I saw him. You will be missed Mr. Cosmo.

Remembering your great love story today and always.

Posted by A friend   April 05, 2020

My father Paul Casseb, and Cosmo were very close friends. My father who was an Attorney also represented Guido Construction Company in many business matters over the years. I can remember as a child going over to Guido Construction Company on Saturday mornings. Cosmo and my father would discuss legal matters usually with the door closed to Cosmo's office. I had the run of the place since it was a Saturday and no one was there other than Cosmo and my Father. I explored the offices, the lumber yard, and grounds. They would finish their meeting, and usually would have to come looking for me. Cosmo would always get a good laugh at how my father would get upset with me for not staying close by. I can also remember many times going over the Guido's home, usually around lunch time, where incredible meals were being prepared, and of course were invited to enjoy those meals with both families.
My heart goes out the entire Guido family, but I know right now both Cosmo, and my father are looking down on us with great pride, and joy with the family legacies they have created.

Sincerely,

Paul E. Casseb, Jr.

I know my Uncle Sam is real happy to have his great friend to play golf with again. Richard and I send our deepest sympathy. May he rest in peace. Richard and Janice Hobbs

May I try to express my heartfelt sympathy to the family of Cosmo Guido. I know if Rodney were here, he would be so saddened. The Guido's were held in such high esteem by so many, but I would hear Rodney exclaim over and over again what a fine man Cosmo was. It was with pride and pleasure to have worked with him and all of the Guido's over the years. May you find peace from God at this time, and know he was recognized so highly by so many. A good man will be missed.

What a legacy your father has left behind. I am very sorry for your loss. Cosmo loved everyone he met and talked so nice of them. I had a very nice visit with him after Uncle Louie Sirianni passed away. The one thing that you did not mention was his love of hunting with the relatives and friends. I hope to see you at a later date. This Virus is going to keep us apart. God Bless your family and be strong. Louis Sirianni

He has left you a rich legacy of faith, service and integrity. We pray that our Lord Jesus Christ, whom Cosmo served so faithfully and who has now called him Home, will flood your hearts with peace and will give you strength in this time of loss.

For over fifty years I have had the honor of being a frequent guest in the Guido home. Cosmo made everyone feel important and touched their lives in many ways. Thank you for your friendship, guidance and mentoring. Hopefully I am passing on some of your values and wisdom to our family progeny, as your legacy will live on through so many others in the same way. We all have great memories of hard work, the value of taking a nap, hard play (like raucous Briscola games and the never ending pancake starter at the hunting lease), and family event gatherings where one was encouraged to have fun and behave at the same time. Thank you for your inspiration to all who have known you. Love and Peace!
