During my tenure as an attorney for the City of San Antonio, Marty was one of my favorites Directors to work with. We all knew him as the Gentle Giant. He rarely spoke during meetings, but when he did, everyone listened because he had common sense and did not like to deal with BS. He was a true believer of Management with a Heart philosophy. He will be missed and I send out prayers to his family.
