Obituary

Adelita "Della" F. Manrique, loving wife and mother of four children entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 75. Della was born January 4, 1945 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Della is preceded in death by her parents Roland Fillmore and Adelita Hernandez and by her beloved dogs, Bobo, Scruffy, Mojo & Chico, and Lucky.

She is survived by her husband, Antonio A. Manrique; daughters, Christine Trujillo, and Dyan Martinez (Andres) sons, Antonio Manrique, Jr. and Alex Manrique (Debra); brother, John Fillmore (Mayra and their 3 children John Paul, Susanne, and Cristian); sister, Natalie Fillmore (Majid Hashemivosogh and their 3 children Monica, Sara, and Leila); grandchildren, Vanessa Trujillo (Richard), Yvonne Trujillo, Yvette Marek (Gage), Antonio Trujillo, Adrianne Trujillo, Andrea Martinez, Vincent A. Martinez, Benito Manrique, and Thomas Manrique; also Great-Grandchildren, Elliana Marek and /baby boy Marek, Joseah Martinez, Vincent A. Martinez, Jr., and Leviathan Martinez.

Della loved being "Nana" to her grandchildren, late nights filled with fresh off the stove popcorn and boxing, and car rides accompanied with the ballads of Juan Gabriel. She also enjoyed wreaking havoc at stores and restaurants with her sister, atop their mobility scooters. Della's family recalls her quick wit and her fearlessness to tell it like it is. However, her heart and generosity will be remembered most, if anyone were ever in need, she was there. She would often make treats and bring food to her dialysis appointments for fellow patients and staff. Della will be dearly missed by all those, whom she encountered.

At Della's request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you take a moment to tell your child, grandchild, or loved one that you love them. Time waits for no one.

"Righteous Savior, I commend the soul of Nana who left us a few days ago to come into your hands. I want to thank you for placing her in our life here on earth. I glorify your name for giving us such a wonderful nana and mom, she has been a blessing to us. We are grateful that you saw it fit to take away the pain she has been going through by welcoming her into paradise where there is no weeping and sorrow. We rest knowing that her soul is now with you, Lord Jesus. We pray this, trusting and believing. Amen."

We will miss you and cherish all the memories you gave us. We will forever love you Nana- Yvette, Yvonne, Vanessa, Antonio, Adrianne, Drea, and Vincent
