Obituary for Angeles O. Vasquez

January 13, 1938 - January 26, 2018
San Antonio, Texas | Age 80

Angeles O. Vasquez, known to her friends and relatives as "Angie" or " Maca" went to be with the Lord, her husband, loved ones and her many friends on Friday, January 26, 2018. She was a fun and very loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was known to family and friends as the "kind of crazy", fun and full of life lady that kept most things entertaining. When her health was good she was always the first one to organize a party, bunco, dance or outing. While she was very outgoing, she was also very kind, loving and giving of herself and her time.

Angie and her husband Tony were instrumental in nursing their grandson back to good health after two bouts with cancer. She was extremely proud of her 3 grandsons and loved them dearly.
Her many activities and interest through-out her life included Cub Scout den mother, team Mom, room mother, arts and crafts, fishing, dancing, music, cleaning, bicycling, bunco, Vegas, talking, laughing and praying.

She will be greatly missed by her son, Antonio O. Vasquez, her grandsons, Jason, Christian and Patrick Casey Vasquez; her daughter-in-law Cynthia Vasquez and Christian's wife and daughter, Amanda and Victoria.

She had a very close, loving and fun relationship with many of her nieces and nephews, but was like a second mother to her nephew Jorge Luis Tejeda.

Her surviving siblings are Artemio A. Ortega, Rosario O. Martinez and Jesus A. Ortega.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Antonio Z. Vasquez. Her parents Catalina and Salvador Ortega Sr., her sisters Yolanda O. Garcia and Catalina O. Murguia, and her brother Salvador Ortega Jr.

Visitation at Porter Loring Chapel on McCullough Ave. will be at 6pm on Thursday, February 1, with a rosary and celebration of life at 7pm.

Procession from Porter Loring at 10am on Friday, February 2nd, with a funeral mass at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 350 Sutton Dr.,. at 10:30am with a burial to follow at San Fernando #2 Cemetery.
