Anne K. Veltri passed away on May 3, 2017 at the age of 94. She was born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania on August 5, 1922, daughter of Anastasia and John Kotelec. Anne resided in San Antonio, Texas for fifty-six years. She last attended St. John Neumann Catholic Church but also served in each parish in which she resided within the community; St. Thomas More, St. Peter's, St. Pius X and Holy Spirit Catholic Churches. Anne lovingly served in her community and gladly took on responsibilities and leadership in many organizations to include Ladies Sodality, Ladies Auxiliaries, Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women, St. Elizabeth Guild, Literary Guild, St. Monica's Guild and National Association of Parliamentarians. She assisted others as a Eucharist Minister; ministering patients in hospitals and residents rest homes. Anne was honored to be installed as a Lady of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem in 1985.

As the mother of six children she also devoted some of her time to Parent Teacher Organizations and as the wife of a military man she held several leadership roles in the Officers' Wives Clubs.
Anne enjoyed sewing, tailoring, making hats and upholstering furniture. She often said, "there just aren't enough hours in the day to do everything I would like to do".

Anne was preceded in death by her parents; three siblings; and her son, Mark Jay Veltri. She is survived by her husband of seventy-one years, James Veltri Jr.; two daughters, Barbara Stuart and Anastasia Veltri; sons, Craig Veltri, David Veltri and his wife Pam, Steve Veltri and his wife Melinda; twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grand-children.

Those who knew Anne experienced her energy, warmth and grace. She had a way of making friends wherever she went. Her family and friends will greatly miss her.
