Obituary

My dear husband, Arnold, was a loving husband to me, and loving to his children and grandchildren. He was respectable and kind, and was diplomatic in caring for many other people. Arnold graduated from the Navy in 1946, and he graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in agriculture. Later, He was sent to Thailand by the State Department to help people learn ways to have clean water and better sanitation. He was very adventurous and went on a pilgrimage in Europe after that. Arnold retired from the Department of Consumer Regulatory Affairs in Washington D.C. in 1979. Aurora fondly remembers many ways in which Arnold showed love and cared for others. When Arnold visited her family in the Philippines, he was a small boy with skin disease and told him, "We are going to clean you up." He had helpers boil water, and got the boy clean. Then he sent for bandages, gauze and antibiotic cream. The next time he saw the boy, he was healed and feeling much better! He also helped Aurora's mother when he met her. He sought out two hospitals to find a good place where she could rest in comfort. The family was grateful for his kindness and generosity.

Arnold always told Aurora: "I love my Roman Catholic faith!" Arnold was chosen to be the coordinator of the Lady of Guadalupe Mission in Harlingen. He took care of the visiting priests and offered his home for Tridentine Latin Mass. He was long-time member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church and it was a very important part of his life. Thank you, Father James Haynos and Father Brandon Haenny of Society of St. Pius X. We are very grateful for you being our Priests and for being here to assist us at this time. Thank you for the work you do for our traditional faith.
