September 4, 2012 - November 28, 2016
San Antonio, Texas | Age 4
Aubrey Elizabeth Kyne earned her angel wings on November 28, 2016, following her fight against a lifelong illness. While Aubrey's time on earth was short, she had a huge impact on the people that had the honor of being part of her life. She was the silliest and most beautiful little girl, and her smile and laugh will live on in the hearts and souls of all who met her.
Aubrey experienced a whole lifetime of love in her four years. While she never spoke a word, those closest to her knew her voice and understood she was experiencing so much joy. Whether she was singing along to Disney movies, blowing kisses, petting her puppy or transforming into a mermaid in the pool or tub, she let us know she was having the time of her life. She particularly loved singing and playing with Meemaw Cindy who never missed a day with Aubrey.
Despite serious health issues, she possessed tremendous strength, perseverance and an ability to stare into the face of overwhelming uncertainty—all while continuing to smile, laugh and live a life full of happiness. She will be missed everyday, and the memory of her will live on in those whose lives she touched.
Aubrey leaves behind many wonderful caregivers that provided medical support and more importantly love to her on a daily basis. Their care brought a great deal of richness to her life. Among others, Aubrey adored her nurses Kassandra, Jackie, Toni, Jeri, Stephanie and Mabel. There is a special place in our hearts for all who cared for Aubrey, and helped give us more time with our sweet little "Brito."
Aubrey is survived by her loving parents, Mike and Katie Kyne; grandparents Cindy Lienau and Mike Lienau; grandparents Harold and Joanne Kyne; great-grandparents Harold and Helen Kyne; great-grandma Marlene Nofziger; uncle Luke and aunt Vicki Lienau; uncle Patrick and aunt Casey Kyne, uncle Mike and aunt Marissa Patterson; and cousins Evie Lienau, Chase Patterson, Jocelyn Patterson, Andrew Kyne and Benjamin Kyne. She is preceded in death by her great-grandpa Kenneth Nofziger and great-grandparents Joseph and Claire Grocela.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 3 from 5 -7 p.m. at the Porter Loring Funeral Home at 1101 McCullough Avenue, San Antonio, Texas 78212. There will be a memorial service Sunday, December 4 at 11 a.m at the same location.
