Obituary

On Friday, September 29th, 2017 Carmen Moore Adams joined the choir in Heaven with her singing and her guitar playing. Born in Phoenix, AZ on October 18, 1916, the granddaughter of General Pedro Ortiz and Eulalia Lugo of Durango, Mexico and Alexander Campbell Moore and Mary Elizabeth Barnes of Odem, TX, lived a long and healthy life.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carmen Lugo; father, William Thomas Moore; husband Dr. Peter Paul Rodriguez Adams; brothers: Pedro William Thomas Moore, Alex Moore, and John Raymond Moore; half- brothers: Roberto Cedillo Moore and Castulo Guzman.

She is survived by her son, Fred Adams wife, Belia; daughter, Sandra T. Benavides husband, Louis; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Carmen was a social worker. Many young men and women credit her involvement in their lives as a salvation from gangs and crimes.

She worked for many years at various locations but her most memorable years were at Good Samaritan Center where she returned to work part-time and retired at age eighty.

A rosary will be on Tuesday, October 10th at 7 pm in the chapel at Porter Loring on McCullough.

Funeral Mass will be at 9 am on Wednesday, October 11th at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 4603 St. John's Way with interment in San Fernando Cemetery #2.
