The Lord welcomed Mrs. Carolyn Sugg Nau home on January 21, 2018 in San Antonio, TX, where she was surrounded by family. Born October 30, 1922 in Bolivar County, Mississippi to John and Claudia Sugg, Carolyn was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She survived the Great Mississippi River Flood of 1927, a defining event of her early life. She went on to graduate from Mississippi State College for Women, earn a Master of Music from Northwestern University, and pursue further graduate study at the Julliard School of Music.

She was active in the community, volunteering her time and talent to numerous clubs and organizations, including the Women's Auxiliary to the Bexar County Medical Society. A gifted pianist, Carolyn was a longtime member of the Tuesday Musical Club, bringing joy to all who listened to her performances. Carolyn adored her family, enjoyed an active social life, and delighted in traveling the world with her husband in their retirement years.
