Obituary

Angels came from heaven and took our beloved Carrie by the hand and led her to be with our Lord on January 3rd, 2018 at the age of 87. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.

Carrie was born to Rudolfo Gonzales and Josefa Canales Gonzales on March 3rd, 1930 in San Antonio, TX. Carrie was raised by her beloved grandmother Concepcion Gonzales. She shared her life with her husband Rudy M. De La Cruz for 69 years.

Carrie will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family. She was happy always putting family first and having her family be the center of her world. She was proud of all her children and grandchildren and had a generous loving and kind heart. She loved giving and always had gifts for her family and visitors who came to see her.

Carrie was a brave, strong and passionate woman who was full of life. She was beautiful, gracious and glamorous. She was feisty in a loving way. She had a great sense of humor and would always find a way to make you laugh. She had a joyous laughter and a smile that would brighten any room.

She loved to dance, making her own jewelry and she loved her animals. Her favorite pastimes were going shopping, going out to eat and she loved family gatherings. She also loved to play Bingo with her Comadre and dear friends, and loved going to Las Vegas with her family especially her daughters.

She dearly admired her loving team of doctors and nurses. Especially her cardiologist. She loved him like a son. She looked forward to her visits with her Chaplin and her loving nurse.

She was very spiritual and had a strong faith in God our Father and she would always send you off with a blessing. She was the ultimate devoted, and caring, mother who was always giving loving hugs and kisses. She has touched the hearts of so many and they will truly feel the loss of someone extraordinarily spectacular and special.

Above all, she is leaving behind a family who will truly feel the loss of a such a giving, loving, devoted person. She will be missed dearly by all her family.
