Obituary

Loving mother, wife, grandmother, and friend, Celia V. Jasso went to be with the Lord at the age of 76. She was born in Guadalajara, Mexico on October 7, 1941 to parents, Pedro Velez and Sabina Davalos. She spent much of her life in her hometown where she earned her education in the school systems of Mexico.

In 1974, she met the love of her life, Severo Jasso, and were married in 1984. Celia and Severo started their family and raised their children together, sharing 33 blissful years together. In Celia's working years, she held many different jobs, but one of her favorites was working in the dairy industry with Oak Farms in San Antonio. She enjoyed interacting with the customers she encountered and always looked forward to the next day.

Celia was a loving mother and grandmother who always enjoyed spending time with her family. In her spare time, she would be at peace working in her garden ensuring all the roses appeared perfect. She will be truly missed by all of those who loved her.

She is survived by her only daughter, Guadalupe Garcia; her brother: Jesus Velez of Guadalajara, Mexico, two grandchildren: Sonia Torres and Maria Torres and five great-grandchildren: Aliya, Abel, Abby, Giovanni, and Liam.

Celia and Severo shared life together on earth as husband and wife and are now together in Heaven forever.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 11th from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the chapel at Porter Loring on McCullough.
