Obituary

Conrado (Conrad) A. Hernandez, age 82, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, December 8th, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born August 17th, 1937 to Luz Asian and attended St. Ann's Grade School and St. Mary's Catholic School. He graduated from Fox Tech High School Class of 1955 where he met his late wife Rachel Villarreal, they shared 55 years of marriage. Conrad served his country with the U.S. Army Reserve. He attended St. Paul's Catholic Church and was a proud member of St. Paul's Knights of Columbus Council 7265. He counted money at St Pauls every Monday religiously in support of the weekly mass donations. He worked over 50 years in the retail business - 33 years for Winn's Stores, and 16 years with Hobby Lobby and 8 years with The Jewelry Store. He lived a full active life, donating his time to events, charities or spending it with his family. He enjoyed traveling to California and exploring other states and countries, he was always up for a road trip. Those left to cherish his memories 4 children: Kathryn H. Aguirre and Husband John A. Aguirre III; Deborah L. Hernandez and Lifetime companion Martha Rodriguez; Sandra H. Belmares and Husband Ronald Belmares; and Conrad Jon Hernandez and wife Sonya Garza Hernandez. He is survived by his loving grandchildren: Jason Balle, Natalee L. McCain; Jacob and Matthew Belmares; Gabriella, Carolina and Alejandro Jon Hernandez; John IV and Bianca Aguirre. Survived by Sisters Esperanza (Hope) Portillo and husband Carlos, Mary Lou Casillas, and numerous Nephews/Nieces. He also enjoyed traveling, dancing, exploring new restaurants and attending movies, plays and concerts with his Cherished Companion, RoseMary Paletta.

Pallbearers (Honorary Pallbearers) will be Grandsons, Jason Balle, Jacob & Matthew Belmares, John Aguirre IV, Alejandro Jon Hernandez. Nephews, Oscar (Bubba) & Michael Villarreal. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Knights of Columbus Council 7265 2519 W. Craig Pl San Antonio, TX. 78201
