Rev. David L. Anderson, age 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Audie L. Murphy Memorial Veterans' Hospital in San Antonio. He was born on January 22, 1941 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin to the late Gene and Garnet Anderson. He was one of six sons and as a child was a soap box derby champion. Before retiring to San Antonio in 1999, David and his wife, Louella, made their home in Fayetteville, NC. There, he was the chaplain for the 82nd Airborne Division where he was known as "Andy Chap." He later would plant and pastor the Living Water Assembly of God in Spring Lake, NC. He loved to woodwork, fish, to garden, was a master craftsman and an avid sports fan. Go, Spurs, Go!

He is survived by his wife, Louella, of 58 years; his five brothers; his children, Steve Anderson, Wendy Hilliard (Eric) and Jeff Anderson (Michelle). He has 8 grandchildren who are the apples of his eye and many nieces and nephews.
