Obituary

Delia R. Queralt, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ignacio Queralt, MD; as well as her brother, Romeo Rodriguez; and sister, Dora Rodriguez. Delia is survived by her children, John (Lisa), Mark (Alison), and Yvonne (Eric); as well as her grandchildren, Andrea (Ty), Sam, Jack, Xavier, and Alex; and her great-grandchild, Isabel.

Mom will be remembered for that infectious smile, positive attitude, and youthful spirit. She loved people and celebrated life. Even as a child, her mother would say of her "For a 'let's go,' you are always ready!" and that continued all her 91 years. The happiness she exuded was to be envied. When asked what the secret was to her happiness, she would say "Be thankful for what you have." Her life was a journey whose ups and downs were tempered by faith in an ever-present God and by the love of, and for her family and friends. "I had a great life." This was her signature refrain, and one we could all aspire to make our own.

Due to Covid 19, a private mass and rite of committal was held by the immediate family on July 18, 2020. Recordings of both can be found with these links or a YouTube search of Delia R Queralt.
