Donna has always had an adventurous spirit and decided at this time to begin flight school. When nearing completion, and preparing taking her in-flight exam for a pilot's license, her fiancé Hubert squelched the idea.
After marriage to Hubert, she became a dedicated clergy wife who assisted him in many ways during his new ministry. At that time, she was instrumental in assisting with the planting of 5 churches in the Diocese of West Texas. She also assumed the same role as they planted 2 churches in the Diocese of Texas. Donna took on the duties of Altar Guild, occasionally the organist, and provider of food during fellowship. During Hubert's ministry at the Church of Holy Spirit in Houston, she cooked monthly meals for the Teachers at Holy Spirit School, the vestry, office staff, and the Episcopal Church Woman's organization. She continued serving others after being called to community service by organizing the Volunteer Service at Memorial City Hospital around 1972. Donna became the Founding President. She also contributed her knowledge and expertise in setting up the Central Supply. In 1987 Donna and Hubert retired to the Texas Hill Country. She became active in the Hunt Garden Club, Kerrville Performing Arts Society, and the Sew and So's needle work group. In 2011 Hubert and Donna moved to San Antonio, Texas to be closer to their daughters. Looking back at her life, Donna was truly a dedicated servant of God and one of his best Prayer Warriors.
