Obituary

Mrs. Eleanor L. Bergmann, age 95, passed away peacefully at home with family members by her side on Sunday, April 8, 2018. She was born on November 3, 1922 in San Antonio, TX to Sam B. Lifshutz and Leah Penner. She was a woman of elegance and grace and a true lady. Eleanor graduated from Thomas Jefferson H.S. and attended the University of Texas in Austin and Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. She served as a Docent in the Women's Pavilion at Hemisfair in San Antonio and volunteered at the Witte Museum. Mrs. Bergmann was a longtime member of Temple Beth-El and contributed her talent in needlepoint to the Eternal Light portion of the tapestry displayed in the Wulfe Sanctuary. She was preceded in death by her son Howard Lane Bergmann and her brother Bernard Lee Lifshutz. She is survived by her daughter Hindi Lee Wilson and loving husband Russell Wilson, Jr. of Englewood, CO, her son Brad Bergmann of San Antonio. Granddaughters; Carrie Anne Miller and husband Kyle of Dana Point, CA, Samantha Lynn Roseman of Denver, CO. Great-grandchildren; Avery Lee Miller, Jane and Eli McKee. Step-granddaughters; Rachel McKee and husband Austin of Denver, CO, Anne Maso and husband Enrico of Tuckahoe, NY. The family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers Gail, Pat, Shirley, Amanda and Jacqui and to Vitas Hospice for their compassionate care.
