It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Oma and aunt. Eugenie (Jeanie) Hartenstine was born on June 26, 1929 in Aalen, Germany. Jeanie was a WWII war bride and always served as a very proud military wife. She was the matriarch of our family and had a zest for life. Her passion was her family and cooking five-star meals, especially German cuisines. Jeanie was always so proud of her children and the fact that she had twin girls. Oma loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Karl and Anna Feihl and her husband, Clarence Hartenstine who was the love of her life.
She is survived by her six children: Carmen Stoever (Gene), Shirley Crist (Mark), Sigrid Watson (Michael), Sigrun Clarkson (Pat), Lt. Col (ret. USMC) Karl Hartenstine, Harvey Hartenstine (Margaret); and grandchildren: David Brown, Brandon Brown, Colby Stoever, Ian Watson, Sunshine Clarkson Lee, Christopher Clarkson, Clarence Hartenstine, Christina Hutchings, Matthew Hartenstine, Allyson Hartenstine, several great grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.
