Obituary

Frank G. Trevino
February 10, 1922 - May 7, 2018

Our loving father, grandfather, husband, and friend, Frank G. Trevino, went peacefully to be with the Lord at the age 96. He was born to Frank C. Trevino and Concepcion Garza and was raised in San Antonio, Texas all of his life. In 1948, he met and married the love of his life, Claudina Trevino, where they shared 65 blissful years together and began their family of six.

Frank was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he faithfully served as an Aviation Ordnanceman during WWII. Later after his military career, he worked as an aircraft electrician in the civil service industry at Kelly Airforce Base. He had many interests and was a member of numerous organizations such as: American Legion, VFW Post 76, University Optimist Club, Charros Dorados Club, Loma Park Men's Club, and Chapultepec Social Club. He was also a life member of the Association of Aviation Ordnanceman. In his spare time, he loved to be with his family, play softball, be outdoors fishing, hunting, gardening and loved to dance to his favorite tunes. One of his greatest passions was to help children in his community discover a love for sports, involving them in organizations as a positive motivator. He was recognized as one of the first individuals to organize the first girls' soccer club in San Antonio prior to the 1960's.

Frank was an incredible person. He was devoted to his family, his community, and his country. He will be truly missed by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank C. Trevino and Concepcion Garza; wife Claudina Trevino; twin sons: Antonio and Frank Trevino; sisters: Florence Meyers, Eloisa Villarreal, Margaret Munoz, and Concepcion Chapa.

He is survived by his sister, Evangeline Torres, daughters: Barbara Centeno, Debora Almand; sons: Frank R. Trevino, David R. Trevino, Gary M. Trevino, and Edward Trevino; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, as well as close friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Porter Loring on McCullough.
