Obituary

Gerard Joseph Sulaica, 68, better known to his friends as Jerry, fought a hard three-and-a-half-year battle, but the cancer finally won the war on July 24, 2017. He was born September 6, 1948 and was a life-long resident of San Antonio. Jerry started his career as a lab tech at Sequa Chromalloy Gas Turbine Corporation. There he found his niche in the accounting department and attained his BBA at St. Mary's University. Jerry ended his career at the same company 42 years later as Vice-President Financial Reporting. He thought of the people he worked with as his family. He loved his son Chris more than life itself making sure Chris had everything growing up. For many years they were season ticket holders of the Spurs, Rampage and Stars as sports truly was Jerry's passion.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Bertha Sulaica and step-brothers, Phillip and Norman Sulaica. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joyce; son, Christopher; brother, John and wife Carolyn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wants to thank the START Center, Drs. Ulmer and Rasco for their help in extending Jerry's life. Upon his wishes, Jerry will be cremated.
