Obituary

Harold H. Jungman, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018, in San Antonio, TX. Harold was born on April 4, 1926 in Munday, Texas, the youngest son of Emil Jungman and Ida Krull Jungman. He served his country during World War II, joining the US. Navy at 17.
He and Wanda Jane Allen were married on December 14, 1947, at Trinity Lutheran Church in San Angelo, TX. He and Wanda were active members of King of Kings Lutheran Church in San Antonio and Messiah Lutheran Church in Boerne.
Soon after their marriage, Harold and Wanda traveled with a geological exploration team working for Amerada Hess Oil company. In June of 1956, he graduated from The University of Texas and shortly thereafter joined the accounting firm of Peat Marwick and Mitchell in San Antonio. In 1959, he received his CPA certification and joined the Texas Society of CPA's and the American Institute of CPA's. From 1976 until his retirement, he was a name partner at several prominent San Antonio accounting firms including Jungman, Elley, Williams and Johnson P.C. He was a member of The Exchange Club, The Petroleum Club and the Estate Planners Council. He shared his successes with many organizations including but not limited to Lutheran Social Services of the Texas, New Life Children's Center Canyon Lake, his church congregations, the University of Texas Alumni Association, local fire stations, The Admiral Nimitz Foundation, the Republican party, and others.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife and best friend, Wanda Jungman; his sister, Irene Entrop, and his brothers, Louis, Edgar, Lawrence and Clarence Jungman. Harold is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North
SERVICE WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2018 2:00 p.m. PORTER LORING MORTUARY NORTH
Rev. Rick Pfaff will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org).
