Obituary

Helen M. Valmé was born on May 6th, 1928 , in Ledyard, Connecticut to George Eldred Nichols Sr. and Rachel Gertrude Watrous. Helen devoted her life to missionary work, and as an avid business partner to her husband Fritz, in the gas and oil industry.

Helen will be affectionately remembered as a loving and caring wife and amazing mother. She was a wonderful person that was always willing to listen and help others. She had a giving heart, and a smile that warmed the soul. Helen had many talents which included knitting, painting, sewing, making jewelry, and playing the piano. Helen will be cherished as a loving and knowledgeable sister, an encouraging friend, and above all else a woman that loved Lord!

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fritz Valmé; sisters, Carolyn Bell, Betty Jane & Edna Nichols; brothers, Thurman Nichols and George Eldred Nichols, Jr. Helen is survived by her son, Rony M. Valmé and wife, Grishelda; granddaughters, Shauntrice Simmons and Priscilla Miller; great-granddaughter, Lyána; brother, Gene Francis Nichols and wife Pat; sisters, Hazel Yvonne Husted and Ruth Annie Cook; numerous nieces, nephews and extended families.

Faith in God was the foundation of her life. She instilled the devotion of family and faith to her children and grandchildren, which will remain her legacy.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Calvary Hills Baptist Church.
