Obituary

Ian "Bugg" Hassler Schramek, 16, of San Antonio, gained his angel wings and flew home, into Jesus' arms, on October 2, 2018, in his home, surrounded by his family.

Ian was a blessing to all who had the honor of knowing him and the privilege of caring for him. Although cut too short, Ian's life was powerful and he touched everyone he met. His presence brought about peace. He was a living example of unconditional love and grace.

He had a smile that would melt your heart and the bluest eyes anyone has ever seen. His eyes revealed the true essence of Ian and his innocence. He was unassuming, nonjudgmental and forgiving. Though his struggles in life were many, he never complained. He never cried and he never backed down. He was a gallant warrior who fought valiantly until the end of his journey. Ian was God's chosen little warrior.

We are so proud of him and so grateful to have had such a special gift entrusted to us the last 16 years. Ian will be missed more than words can ever express. Until we meet again, we love you Ian. Always.

Ian is survived by his parents, Craig and Priscilla Anderson; his father, Michael Schramek; his brothers, Zach, George, Garrett, Craig Jr.; sister, Maggie; maternal grandmother, Judy Bichsel; maternal grandfather, Buckner Bichsel and wife Sharron; Grandmother at heart, Linda Anderson; paternal grandparents, Dennis and Barbara Schramek; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services for Ian will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2018 @ 4:00 pm at Los Angeles Heights Presbyterian Church, SAT 78240.

Flowers may be delivered on Saturday or Sunday.
