James "Jim" Malcolm, 81, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019, at North Central Baptist Hospital surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on January 21, 1938, in Cranston, Rhode Island, the son of Stanley and Anne Malcolm. He married the love of his life Linda (Waggoner) on February 8, 1964. In addition to his wife of 55 years, Jim's memory will be cherished by his sons James "Jim" Malcolm Jr. (wife Brenda), and Robert "Bob" Malcolm as well as two grandchildren Brittany DeRemer (husband Brian) of Seguin, Texas, and Ryan Austin (wife Thalia) of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Known as "Coffee" to his great-grandchildren, Atreyu, Trinity, Ezekiel and Kyra DeRemer always put a smile on his face. He also is survived by his sister-in-law Carole Malcolm and several nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers (Stan, Don and Bill Malcolm) and three sisters (Pat McKearney, Ann Brooks, and Ruth Iverson).

Jim attended Northwestern University in Illinois and then started his career at Lear Seigler, Inc., in Centralia, Illinois, where he met and married Linda. Another company merger brought them to San Antonio, Texas, where Jim proudly became the Director of Advertising and Sales Promotion at Frederick Heating & Air Conditioning.
