Devoted husband and loving father Jennings F. "Jeff" Ketner, Jr., was released by death on May 22, 2018, following an accident and a weeks-long effort for recovery.

Jeff was born in 1941 in San Angelo, Texas, to Jennings F. "Al" Ketner, Sr., and Inez Anthony Ketner. After graduating from Central High School in San Angelo and the University of Texas at Austin, he proudly operated a successful practice as a Certified Public Accountant for forty-five years before retiring in 2017. He was an active member of First Unitarian Universalist Church of San Antonio and a dedicated advocate in the religious community for forty years.

Jeff is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 47 years, Mary Grace; siblings Claudia Cleere and Jim Ketner; his children Travis Ketner and wife Lucy Rojo, Katherine Guertler and husband Christian; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jeff will be remembered for his conviviality and sharp humor, his generosity of time and spirit, his love and respect for children, and his contemplative devotion to personal growth. His manner of living is defined by intense affection for his family and friends, and professionally he forged long and loyal relationships with his deeply valued clients.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Reston Hospital Center in Reston, VA, and University Hospital in San Antonio, TX, for the caring and dignity extended to Jeff and his family. The family is grateful for the support and thoughts offered by his friends, both new and old, throughout his life and hospitalization.
