Jerald (Jerry) D. Clark was born on July 23, 1934, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma and passed from this world on November 13, 2019. He was the son of Johnson Blue Clark and Helen Cheeseman. He spent his childhood in Henrietta and Tishomingo, Oklahoma, where he worked at his father's pharmacy. After graduating from Tishomingo High School, he attended Murray State College. He loved the outdoors and hunting, fishing, and boating in the area, and he subsequently became a pilot.

In 1955, Jerry married Oda Harris, and during their 35-year marriage, they raised four children; Novetta Faye, Catherine Lynn, Joe Charles, and Carol Ann. Early in his career, he joined the Air Force, where he taught survival training to pilots in the Arctic Circle. After his stint in the Air Force, they moved back to Oklahoma, and he graduated from the University of Oklahoma and where he was in the ROTC program. He taught school for a couple of years before joining the US Army as an officer. He was deployed to Viet Nam twice, in 1966 and in 1972. Through the years, the family was stationed at Ft. His last deployment was with the US Embassy in San Salvador, El Salvador. He retired with almost thirty years of service and the rank of Colonel.

In 1990, Jerry married Odaly Gonzalez, and they moved from El Salvador to Spain for three years while Odaly completed her medical residency. After returning to El Salvador, they were blessed with a daughter, Katie Blue. During his retirement, Jerry enjoyed playing golf and caring for Katie.
