Obituary

Born November 7, 1991, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Joseph "Joey" Michael Becker was taken too soon at the age of 27, on January 5, 2019. Joey graduated from MacArthur High of San Antonio in 2010 and was most recently employed with SurePest. Joey's greatest passion was his Jeep and was an active member of the Jeep Nation. Joey used his Jeep not only for joy but also to assist those in need during times of disaster and was always willing to lend a helping hand with an open heart. He had a passion for working and modifying his Jeep and truck and loved spending time with family and friends whether it be at the lake, the beach or in the driveway. An avid-gamer, Joey enjoyed playing video games in his spare time with his friends. Joey was the ultimate Ohio State Buckeyes fan and would almost always be seen wearing his Ohio State football shirt (if not, it was a Jeep shirt).

Joey is survived by mother and stepfather Valerie and James Elbel (Marion), father and stepmother Michael Becker and Linda Horrocks (New Braunfels), sisters Rachael Becker (Austin), Amber Books (Chase, MD) brothers Dawson Elbel (Marion), Kevin Becker (New Braunfels), Ricky Morales (Dallas) and Daniel Peirsol (Spring Branch). Also survived by great-grandmother Clara L. Boc (Strongsville, OH), grandfather Randy Becker (San Antonio), grandmother Helen Martin (San Antonio), aunts and uncles Tim Becker (San Antonio), David Allen (Marion), Bill and Dorene Allen (Sunbury, OH), Cindi Allen and Curt Anderson (Grove City, OH) and Lish and Chuck Sendelbach (Westerville, OH), nephew Gauge Becker, niece Elaina Franklin, cousins Brooklyn Becker, Cailin Sendelbach-Shelton, Britni Allen, Kylee Williams, Sadie Allen, Carly Sendelbach, Mishalee Ballard, and Dean Burns, close friend Krista Falconer and her daughter Jordyn, and his beloved dog Daisy, along with many other cousins and loved ones. He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Bill and Shirley Allen and paternal grandmother, Shirley Becker.
