Juan Ramirez III, Johnny to friends and family, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2007 at the age of 49 years.

He was born to Juan Ramirez Jr. and Yolanda Castaño Ramirez on 13 September 1957 in San Antonio, Texas. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Juan Ramirez Sr., Cruz Alejandro Castaño, and Teresa Gonzalez Castaño.

He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Carol Montez Ramirez. He also leaves behind his parents, his three brothers, Daniel Mark Ramirez Oralia, David Anthony Ramirez Lillian, and Raymond Harle Ramirez Linda, and his paternal grandmother, Lillian Haynes Ramirez along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and long time family friends.

Johnny proudly served for 22 years in the U.S Army and the Army National Guard, leaving at the rank of Captain. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church.

The Ramirez Family extends their heartfelt thanks to Msgr. Mike Yarborough, Mr. Tony Rivera, Sr. Therese Gleitz, Mr. Alvin Caro, and their entire St. Matthew family; Mr. John Worch and their Vestal Elementary family to include faculty, staff, students and parents; Dr. Manuel Santiago, Dr. Charles Duncan, Dr. Ather Siddiqi, Dr. William Davis, Dr. Kenneth Stallman, Dr. Christine Toth, Dr. T. Osonma, and Dr. James Treviño; and their very special extended family members and friends who offered their time, devotion, prayers and blessings to Juan Ramirez III as he courageously battled renal cancer.

We rejoice in God for our precious husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend who touched so many lives and leaves many treasured memories until we see him again in Heaven with Christ Jesus. JESUS, WE TRUST IN YOU!
