Obituary

Judy Baley Lovelace took her last breath on earth on Thursday, October 25th, and is now singing with the angels. She was born in Abilene, TX on August 11, 1943 to James and Lera Crenshaw. She was the youngest of the Crenshaw siblings and her brother, Jimmie, and sister, Barbara, along with her parents, indulged her every whim.

She was a 1961 graduate of Wylie High School in Abilene, TX, followed by obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Education at Hardin Simmons University. Judy taught 3rd grade in Irving ISD at Lee Britain Elementary for 30 years, before retiring in 1995. She was an active member of Plymouth Park Baptist Church before moving to the Hill Country in 2006 with her husband, Joe, and their many pets. Judy loved to sing, dance, have fellowship with friends and travel the world.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Lera Crenshaw, her brother, Jimmie Crenshaw, and her sister, Barbara Van Poppelen, as well as her husband, Joe Lovelace.

She is survived by her daughter, Jody Hillenbrand, her husband, Scott, and their son, Will, as well as her nieces Jon Van Poppelen and Tanya Glover.

Church services will be held Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 6:00 pm at Plymouth Park Baptist Church in Irving, TX.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association in her name, as she struggled with the disease in the last 10 years of her life.
