Obituary

Lucille Dutcher passed away in her home peacefully on July 28, 2019. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who always put family first. Each and every one who was involved in her life knew she was one-of-a-kind. She could always brighten up the room with her beautiful smile enchanting hazel eyes and charming personality. God almighty broke the mold with Lucille. She always placed others needs in front of her own, especially when it came to her loving husband Col. Barent Dutcher.

As the wife of a military commander, Lucille would make sure all his officers' wives retained a responsibility to their husbands while on assignments. She was also an Active member in the San Antonio Woman's Club and the Officer's Wives clubs. Lucille loved hunting, fishing, and panning for gold in Alaska with her husband as often as possible. Lucille has visited every state in the United States as well as dozens of countries and she left a lasting impression everywhere she went.

She is survived by her husband Col. Barent C. Dutcher, son Gary Fay, daughter Yvonne Vanornum, granddaughters: Chantal Fay, Tammy Keeler, and Renee Vanornum, great-granddaughters: Alexis, London, Sofiya; nephew, Bruce Dutcher, niece Deborah Dutcher, great-nephew Daniel Dutcher, great-niece Ginger Dutcher Wright.

The family will receive friends from 9:00am to 9:00pm, on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at Porter Loring Mccullough.
