Obituary for Mrs. Mary Jane Flores

January 15, 1942 - February 26, 2018
San Antonio, Texas | Age 76

Mary Jane Flores, age 76 of San Antonio, Texas, went to sleep on Monday, February 26, 2018, and woke up rejoicing in Heaven. Mary Jane was born in San Antonio to Albert S. and Gertrude (Tules Rodriguez) Trevino. Her greatest joys in life were her faith, her family and her love of music. One of Mary Jane's greatest gifts was her beautiful voice. She sang at many functions in San Antonio and surrounding areas, first in her youth with her sister, and then later on with her own son. She was a beautiful addition to her church choir for many years, and had just recorded the harmony for her son's gospel album earlier this month. A graduate of Burbank High School, Mary Jane grew up very involved with the Girl Scouts until the age of 18. She often expressed gratitude for the leaders who helped to shape so much of her worldview. She was a strong and generous advocate for anyone in need throughout her entire life. Mary Jane married her high school sweetheart, Robert D. Flores, and they recently celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary in September. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband and their five children, Robert (Bobby) Flores, Jr. and his wife Annette, Deborah Flores and her husband Ron Zueger, Gregory Flores, Sandra Carroll and her husband Brad, and Marcie Davis and her husband Dean. She was also a loving grandmother to 10 grandchildren: April Waller, Robert Flores III, Josh Flores; Amy Gardner-Camacho, Hannah Dalmolin; Gregory Flores, Jr.; Hailey and Kelsey Carroll, and Aiden and Collin Davis. She was an overjoyed great-grandmother to McKenzie, Holland and Krew Waller; Jordan and Robert Flores, IV; Charlotte Flores, and Joey and Katie-Beth Camacho. She also leaves behind 4 brothers Albert, Joe, Arthur and Adam Trevino, and 2 sisters, Irene Nunley and Esther Valenzuela. She will be missed terribly on this earth, but now is celebrated as a beautiful angel in Heaven's choir!
