Obituary

Peter Alexander Steele, 57, passed away from this life into eternal life on January 13, 2020. The son of Ethel Williams and Neville Steele, he was born on June 7, 1962 in St. Ann Jamaica West Indies. He graduated from University City Senior High School in University Missouri. He pursued a career in Hospitality Services in St. Louis Missouri at Green Briar Hills Country Club and the Argyle Club in San Antonio TX. Peter accepted Christ as his savior on June 9, 2019, at the True Vision Church in San Antonio TX.

From an early age Peter looked forward to summer vacations in Grand Rapids Michigan where he loved to fish and roller skate. As he grew older, he loved to play Frisbee golf and regular golf and tried his hand at gardening. He was an avid sport enthusiast a life-long fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. He also liked watching the Jamaican soccer team, and tennis. Peter loved his football Sunday's and he liked several teams but the Dallas Cowboys sticks out as his favorite football team. When it came to Sunday's the only thing he wanted to do was to go to church and watch football.

He had a love of traveling with a vast knowledge of the use of airline points and miles allowing him to travel in style. He explored the world with a "Never met a stranger attitude." He derived pleasure from the excitement of explaining to others cultural etiquettes to how eat an unknown fruit. He offered a warm smile with depth and intelligence behind it that would put you at ease. If you were lucky enough to be his friend, you know he was a delightful, generous, easy going, fun loving human being with a touch of comedy and prankster on the side. Of all the things he loved to do, the thing he did the most was talking on the phone. He would call any and everybody, his family, friends, co-workers, strangers, sometimes if he happened to call the wrong telephone number, he would somehow have a long conversation with them as well. His telephone calling unrestricted by time would start in the USA and then branch out to England, on to Jamaica and so on, amazingly all on the same day. Family and friends looked forward to him calling because it cheered up a lonely day or to some that's the only person calling to check up on them, whatever the case Peter's gift of gab was loved by many.

Peter was lucky to have found love more than once in his life time, He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Deborah Greer Steele, the mother of his children 1st wife Angela Lawrence-Steele, His Children, Adam Steele (Cassie), Aaron Steele, Andrew Steele, Abrianna Steele, His Step-children Whitney Ward, Harriet Ward, Brandon Ward, and grandchildren, His Siblings Patrick Steele, Angela Steele-Washington, Janice Steele-Bernard (Vernon), Ingrid Dunbar, Patel Steele, Anthony Steele, host of loving aunts, uncle, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
