Mr. Robert "Bobby" Ahr, age 85 of San Antonio, Texas passed away June 22, 2020, at Methodist Stone Oak Hospital in San Antonio. He was born on April 3, 1935, in Dallas, Texas to parents, Bill and Rose Ahr.

Bobby attended Edison High School where he played for the All City and All State "Golden Bears" Football and Basketball teams. While attending Trinity University, he was a member of the Trinity Men's Basketball Team.

Upon graduating from Trinity University, Bobby went to work for the family owned grocery store, Ahr's Food Market in Olmos Park. Ahr's Food Market was well known in the San Antonio area for premium cuts of meat and specialty food items, which kept him very busy during the holiday seasons.
Bobby continued to be an avid sports enthusiast throughout his life enjoying golf and coaching a girls' softball team. He also enjoyed playing weekly poker with his buddies.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Rose Ahr; wife, Dorothy (David) Ahr; son, Robby Ahr; and sister, Bebe Hugos.

He is survived by his wife Donna Ahr of San Antonio; children, David Ahr and his wife, Leighanne of Houston and Jill Cheatham and her husband, Jerry of San Antonio; grandchildren, Carly Cheatham, Ryan Ahr, Annastasia Winters, Lauren Gale and Jordan Ahr; extended family, Lisa Kottler and her wife Adrianna Cantu; Robert Kottler and his wife, Teri; and numerous other loving relatives.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Mission Burial Park North in San Antonio.
