Robert Lawrence Lawlace passed away on November 13, 2018 at the age of 95 in San Antonio, Texas. He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Rosemary, as well as his children J. Randolph Lawlace (Isla Grant), Sally J. Lawlace, Lawrence J. Lawlace (Kathryn), and Jennifer L. Lawlace (Nicholas Dimotsis), and grandchildren Andrew M. Lawlace, Samuel J. Lawlace, Emily R. Lawlace, Ann Robie Lawlace and Margaret R. Lawlace and two great-grandchildren Curtis and Jemima. He was predeceased by his sisters Fern Bicking, Nellie Marshall and Bernice Rose.

Robert was born on May 24, 1923 in Owensboro, Kentucky to Lawrence B. Lawlace and Daisy Eby Lawlace. The family moved to Evansville, Indiana when Bob was about three years old. He graduated from Central High School in Evansville in 1941 and entered college at the University of Cincinnati that year. He served in the United States Army from 1942 to 1946 including service in France, Belgium and Germany as a mechanic. Bob and Rosemary J. Randolph were married on August 22, 1948. After graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in chemical engineering, Bob worked at Servel and Mead Johnson in Evansville. In 1963 he and his family moved to Mexico City, Mexico where he was the director of production for Mead Johnson and Bristol Myers Squibb. In 1978 he moved to Houston with Brown & Root. In 1994 Bob and Rosemary moved to Westwood Shores, Trinity, Texas.

Bob was a faithful member of First Baptist Church (Evansville, Indiana), Capital City Baptist Church (Mexico City), Kingsland Baptist Church (Katy, Texas) and Dorcas Wills Memorial Baptist Church (Trinity, Texas). He served in many capacities in these churches, especially as a choir member, soloist and choir director and coordinator of building programs.

A memorial service was held at Dorcas Wills Memorial Baptist Church in Trinity, Texas on November 16.

Internment will take place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on December 14, 2018 at 11:30 a.m.
