a teacher...an advocate of education her entire life...

Obituary

Roberta "Robbi" Boone was tragically killed in a collision on Highway 46 on Friday, April 21, 2017. She was born in Chicago and relocated to South Texas twice, as it was her favorite area to live. Robbi was a teacher in the Chicago area and advocate of education her entire life. As she was devoted to the many causes she believed in, she was an active member of many groups over the years, including Chair of the Comal County Democratic Party, until her death. Robbi was a generous, giving and loving person who was taken too early from all who loved her. Preceded in death only four months earlier by her husband, Dan, she continues to be loved by her children and their spouses (Angela Boone, Darcy & Jeff Lessel, Todd & Carolyn Silberman, and Carrie Silberman), grandchildren (Molly, Samuel, Claire & Elizabeth), sister and husband (Caryl & Bob Sewell), as well as many cousins, friends, and colleagues. Her loss is devastating and she will be missed.

The family is grateful to the Bulverde-Spring Branch Fire Department, Comal County Sheriff's Office, Department of Public Safety officers on scene, San Antonio Air Life flight crew, and the doctors, nurses and staff at University Hospital, for their efforts to save her.

A memorial and celebration of her life will be held at T Bar M, Sanctuary Banquet Space, 2549 Tx-46, New Braunfels, Texas 78132 on Saturday, May 6th at 3:30pm, with a reception to follow at that location.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to honor Robbi to the following organizations: Comal County Democratic Party, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Ruff Patches Animal Rescue, or Unitarian Universalists of New Braunfels.
