Obituary

Rosemary Boyce Spaeth, age 93, went to be with the Lord on October 26, 2019, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on March 29, 1926, to George Frances Boyce and Gertrude Keller Boyce.
She was the loving wife of Donald Edward Spaeth until his death on January 2, 1992. She is preceded in death
by her parents, George Frances Boyce and Gertrude Keller Boyce, her husband, Donald E. Spaeth, and her sister, Marjorie Mae Boye. She is survived by her daughter, Chris Bell and her husband, Marty Bell; her son, Kurt Spaeth and his wife, Beverly Spaeth; her daughter, Kim Thonhoff and her husband, Bob Thonhoff; and her daughter, Kally Moyer and her husband, Jay Moyer. Throughout her life, Rosemary lived in Columbus, Ohio; Ft. Myers, Florida; Austin and San Antonio Texas. Her education included St. Aloysius and St. John's Holy Rosary Elementary Schools, Holy Rosary High School, and Mt. Carmel School of Nursing in Columbus, Ohio.
She worked as a registered nurse from 1948 thru 1988. She served in many different areas including scrub, surgical, pediatric, geriatric, industrial, public school, Medicare and public health nursing. Rosemary was always faithful and served in whatever church she belonged whether it was Catholic, Lutheran or Methodist. At Grace Lutheran Church in Columbus, Ohio, she was a Sunday School teacher, and sang in church choir for approximately 30 years. She had the distinction of being the first female Sunday School Superintendent there and taught the New Dimension and Bethel Series which was an overview of the Bible to adults. She was a huge advocate for Bible Study Fellowship that she took for 9 years and was a discussion leader for 5 years. Most recently, she was involved in the Senior Adult Ministry, Silver Bucket Singers, Prime Chimers, stuffing envelopes for mailings and Homebound Communion at University UMC. She says the "icing on the cake" was her Holy Land Pilgrimage in 1997. Rosemary loved the Lord, her family and friends, her church and displayed a true passion and dedication to everything she did. As a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and
friend, she will be greatly missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial gift to one of the organizations Rosemary supported over the
