Obituary

Ruth Ann Myers, 63 of Helotes, went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2020. Ruth Ann was born in Waco, Texas to Jeannette and Jack Kelley Seymour, Sr. She was the youngest of three children. She was a proud member of the Thomas Jefferson class of 1975.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years Barry Myers; Mother in Law Marie Myers; Sister Mary Kay Tennant; Nieces Donna Jean (Bernard) Grant and Elizabeth Tennant and Great Nephews Remington and Drake Grant; Brothers in Law Tim (Russ) Myers, Trey (Donna) Myers, Stan (Doris) Myers; God Daughters Dawn (Matt) Marshall and Heather Wilson; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

She is preceded in death by her Father Jack Kelley Seymour, Sr., Mother Jeannette (Seymour) Di Iorio, Stepfather Tony Di Iorio, Aunt Grace D. Clair, Brother Jack Kelley Seymour, Jr., Father in law Collin S. Myers, Jr. and Brother in Law William P. "Bill" Tennant.

Ruth Ann was at her best when she was doing things she loved. She enjoyed watching her butterflies and "hummers" out her back window as well as her numerous deer in the "back 40" of her yard. She loved her roses and lawn ornaments. She could often be found just enjoying being out on her front porch or yard swing with her dogs (sometimes on the swing with her), cat, friends and family.

Among the things she enjoyed most was watching her teams play. She was an avid Spurs fan. She could be found watching games both in the arena and at home. Her favorite place to watch was definitely at home. She was a huge Timmy (Tim Duncan) fan. Other sports teams she enjoyed cheering on were ANY team her people played on. From the little league fields to the high school courts and sidelines, she was there whenever possible yelling her loudest and proudest to let them know she was there. Whether they were playing, coaching or cheering, she was there to support them and it made her happy.

During the day, she had her soaps, she would set the VCR to tape them if she had to be away. She and her best friend shared many shows and used them as a conversation point for years. In addition to her shows during the day, she also loved to bake. Anything and everything. She was known for showing up with delicious homemade treats regularly. She also enjoyed entertaining.

On Saturday, March 14th, 2020 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, the family will receive guests at Porter Loring McCullough (1101 McCullough Ave) a memorial service will follow. In honor of Ruth Ann, the family asks for service attendees to wear something she would have loved. Her favorite things being purple, butterflies and her Spurs.
