A Vietnam Veteran USAF, Steve was so proud of his country and enjoyed connecting with other veterans. In 1997, later in his life, he received a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Marketing at The University of Texas at San Antonio. He met an employee at UTSA who he married in 1998. As a couple they followed their goal, "Grow Old Along With Me The Best Is Yet To Be". Loved long road trips and managed to get to all 50 states. Traveled here and there, fishing, visiting friends throughout the country and always spending time or checking with family. Began cruising to other locations and enjoying casinos on land and sea. Steve struggled with heart disease, vascular disease, lymphoma, macular degeneration and had surgical procedures as well in the last 20 years. He fought each one as best he could until July 1. A good man who had a good life, loved an audience and shared wonderful stories and jokes with family, friends and strangers, too.

Special thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff at The MARC, Hanger Clinic, CTRC, and University Hospital who helped Steve live a longer life.
